Lost Worlds investigates "lost" sites from ancient to present times. These "great accomplishments of engineering, technology, and culture" are exposed by archaeological evidence, expert interviews, and CGI reproductions. These visual re-creations use generated 3D environments and photo-manipulated overlays to show the "lost world" over its current state. The pilot episode "Palenque: Metropolis of the Maya" broadcast on 4 April 2005. In2006, there were 12 episodes, and in2007, there were 19.
