Klovn is a sitcom that originates from Denmark and was initially broadcast on the Danish television channel TV2 Zulu. The lives of the two main characters, Frank and Casper, are the primary emphasis of the story. The comedy of the show is based on mundane, everyday occurrences, social awkwardness, uncomfortable silences, and general faux pas. Klovn is very similar to the American sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm, which was created by Larry David. One of the most prominent similarities is the central premise, in which a semi-retired comedian, along with his wife, friends, and celebrity acquaintances, find themselves in comedic and embarrassing situations. The play is also performed in a pseudo-realistic style, which means that a viewer who is seeing it for the first time can be confused about whether or not the show is produced. Even the score is virtually same. In spite of this, an assertion is made in the show's closing credits that Casper Christensen and Frank Hvam were the ones who came up with the idea for the show. The comedy series has a total of sixty episodes, which are spaced out over six seasons, and each episode is twenty-five minutes long. Between the 23rd of February to the 27th of April in2009, the sixth and supposedly final season was broadcast on television. The movie Klown, which was based on the series but has its own unique storyline, was released on December 16th,2010, in the United States.
