The television series InSecurity is a Canadian action comedy. The series follows a team of spycatchers at the fictional Canadian National Intelligence and Security Agency. The show is set in Ottawa, however it was mostly shot in Regina. The first season of 13 episodes began on January4, 2011. It was followed by a second season of ten episodes before being cancelled by CBC on April19, 2012 owing to budget cuts in the 2012 Canadian government budget. One of the producers referred to it as "the 24 of Canada," while one writer described it as "24 without Jack Bauer; CSI without the science; and James Bond-if James Bond were Mr. Bean." The initial pilot focused on the tedium involved with electronic spying, but it was decided that it would be too "niche." A second pilot was flown with a more 24-hour approach.
