The story takes place a century after the destruction of the Fire Tribe by the Empire of Snow (Ice Tribe). However, the war proved devastating, and the Ice Tribe was left with only two royal heirs and pure-blood ice illusionists: Prince Ka Suo and his younger half-brother Ying Kong Shi. A power struggle erupts after Ka Suo, his beloved Li Luo and his brother go missing after he grudgingly ascends to the king. While investigating the sacred sanctuary of the Ice Tribe, Ka Suo comes into an evil presence. Invading the enigmatic shrine, he and his friends overcome Lady Yuan Ji, the shrine's head, only to discover that she was involved in a plan against him. As Ka Suo searches for his girlfriend and brother, he is unaware that his brother, the Fire Prince, has lost all of his memories and is under the power of his mother. The two brothers are once again set against each other in a fight between the two tribes.
