Chris Gifferd and Valerie Walsh created the children's television programme Go, Diego, Go! as a spin-off of Dora the Explorer. Nickelodeon aired the show from September6, 2005 to September16, 2011. From September 17, 2005 until September 9, 2006, it also aired as part of the Nick Jr. on CBS block. On December 20, 2006, Nick Jr. announced that twenty new episodes had been ordered and were currently in production. Since April 2008, the show has been dubbed into Spanish and broadcast on Univision's Planeta U block in the United States.
