Doraemon
Because of what Nobita Nobi did wrong in the 20th century, his descendants are still poor in the 22nd century. So that they can move up in society, their servant, a robot cat named Doraemon, goes back in time to show Nobita the right way to get rich. Doraemon, a broken robot that the family got by accident but decided to keep anyway, isn't doing much better than Nobita. Nobita goes on many adventures with the robot. Nobita's life is definitely more interesting with the robot cat from the future, but it's not clear if it's better in the way that Doraemon wanted.
