Ed Goodson, an outspoken and opinionated father, enjoys making uninvited and frequently politically incorrect remarks to everyone who will listen. Ed's kids, Henry, a failing writer turned unpaid blogger, and Vince, the meek half of his husband/wife real estate combination with domineering Kathleen, are not immune to his rants. When Henry discovers he can no longer afford to pay Sam's rent, Ed exposes a sensitive spot and encourages Henry to move in with him. Henry complies, knowing that the verbal abuse will continue and that there will be no way out now.
