Digimon Fusion, known in Japan as Digimon Xros Wars and in Malaysia as Digimon Fusion Battles, is the sixth anime television series for children in the Digimon brand, created by Akiyoshi Hong and produced by Toei Animation. It focuses on a youngster named Taiki Kud who uses the power of combining Digimon in order to save the Digital World. Between July6, 2010 and March25,2012, the series aired on TV Asahi and Asahi Broadcasting Corporation under the titles Xros Wars, The Evil Death Generals and the Seven Kingdoms, and The Young Hunters Who Leaped Through Time. Saban Brands has licensed the series outside of Asia, and MarVista Entertainment has licensed the series internationally. A Saban-produced English-language version began showing on Nickelodeon in North America on September7,2013, and will subsequently air on The CW's Vortexx programming block. On December8,2012, an alternative English-language version began broadcasting on Disney XD in Malaysia.
