Mahiru, Itsuki's cousin, informs him of her pregnancy on the day of his high school graduation. A gate of light appears, transporting the two into the planet of Granvania. "Impurities" in this land have been causing a disturbance to the Stars, eventually plunging Granvania into chaos and anarchy. And Itsuki, now revealed to be one of the "Star Maidens," is regarded as Granvania's final hope, and is tasked with producing "Star Children" and combating the "impurities." Itsuki may never be able to return home unless the assignment is completed.
