Buck Rogers in the Twenty-First Century is a Universal Studios' American science fiction adventure television series. The series aired for two seasons between 1979 and1981, and the feature-length pilot episode was released as a theatrical film many months before the series aired. Glen A. Larson and Leslie Stevens created the film and series based on the character Buck Rogers, who was established in 1928 by Philip Francis Nowlan and had previously appeared in comic strips, novellas, a serial film, and on television and radio.
