The story of an unorthodox family that owns a maverick airline based in Yellowknife and told through the lens of Arctic Air. Mel Ivarson, a veteran bush pilot, his daughter Krista Ivarson, and Bobby Martin, the heir apparent of Ivarson's late business partner, are the proprietors of the business. Each episode focuses on interpersonal issues between the protagonists, as well as dramatic flying missions with their aged fleet of aircraft, which includes Douglas DC-3s, de Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otters, and other aircraft. There is at least one aerial mission in each and every episode. As a result of cuts in government spending, the series was pulled from the air on March17, 2014.
