6teen is a 2004 Teletoon debut of a Canadian animated sitcom. It premiered on Nickelodeon in the United States on December 18, 2005, and was canceled on May 13, 2006. In The N from December26, 2005 to July28,2006, 6teen appeared in reruns until July28,2006, when it reappeared as a 24-hour station on December31, 2007. After its October 23, 2008 launch, 6teen was broadcast on Cartoon Network in the United States. Since its premiere on Cartoon Network on October23,2008, 6teen had regular weekly airings, but by the middle of November2009, it had been dropped from the schedule. After its series finale on June 21st,2010, it was once again taken off the air, although this time with more frequent airings. In January2011, Cartoon Network aired 6teen for one month, but the show was then canceled along with several other cancelled shows. Popgirl occasionally airs it. Brian Melo performed an acoustic rendition of the show's theme tune during the series finale, "Bye Bye Nikki? Part 2." In the end, there were 93 episodes of 6teen. There are DVD and iTunes releases in Canada and the United States. Despite the show's cancellation, both Pertsch and McGillis expressed an interest in doing a feature film or a two-hour reunion special. Currently, it is not on Cartoon Network's schedule, however some episodes are available via Cartoon Network on Demand in certain regions. Teletoon aired repeats of 6teen beginning on January3,2011, and it has now returned to its original weekday schedule at 7:00 p.m. EST.
