Yorkshire Television made 3–2–1 for ITV. Ted Rogers, a former Butlins Redcoat, hosted for ten years. Based on Un, dos, tres... responda otra vez, it was a quiz show, variety show, and game show. The show had big ratings. The first season, a summer filler, drew 16.5 million viewers, and succeeding years never dipped below 12 million. The show ran mostly on Saturday early evenings. The final Christmas special drew 12.5 million viewers, thus it's unknown why an 11th season wasn't ordered in 1989. In 1996, Ted Rogers said "They didn't want Oxbridge to control TV.
