Welcome to the North
Alberto has taken the position of program manager for the Italian Post, which is based in the country's far northern reaches (i.e., Milan!). He spends all of his time and energy to this noble cause, neglecting his wife Silvia, which, of course, frustrates her to no end. He is a hero in his own right. Things aren't much better in Castellabate, where it's Maria, Matta's wife, who gets on his nerves by constantly scolding him for his lack of ambition, rather than him. Mattia gets transferred to Milan one day as a result of a misunderstanding. In addition, who's house does he arrive at? Of course, it's Alberto's!
