Slacker Anthony Stoner, an unemployed cannabis smoker who also plays the drums in an amateur band, escapes his overbearing parents and heads out on the open road in search of new friends and inspiration. In spite of the fact that Anthony and Pedro, the drug-abusing duo, are arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, they are eventually released on bail and go on to participate in a rock band competition, where they perform the boisterous song "Earache My Eye.".
