Two old-time rail robbers, Lancaster's Harry Doyle and Douglas' Archie Lang, were sentenced to 30 years in prison in 1956 for a train heist. As soon as they are released from prison, they are faced with the challenge of adapting to a new normal. When Harry and Archie prevent a bank heist while picking up their prison checks, they learn they still have some swagger. An aerobics instructor, just 20 years old, is no match for Archie, who spent his prison sentence puffing himself up. As for Harry, he'll be spending the rest of his life in a nursing home. Archie's resentment stems from his demeaning job as a busboy, and Harry's resentment is from his treatment as a senior citizen. The two old friends have finally returned to their favorite pastime. This time, they're going to heist the same train that was taken from them 30 years ago.
