Tom and Jerry: A Nutcracker Tale

A holiday-themed animated direct-to-video film starring Academy Award-winners Tom and Jerry and directed by Tom and Jerry himself. It makes extensive use of the music from Tchaikovsky's iconic ballet The Nutcracker as the background music. Joseph Barbera, the co-creator of Tom and Jerry, would die on December 18, 2006, and this would be his final animated effort. There is all of the exaggerated violence that is typical of Tom and Jerry cartoons in this picture as well.
