Karin plans to recuperate from her recent psychiatric hospitalization by spending the summer at her family's cottage on a small island. Martin, her loving spouse, is disappointed by her physical seclusion. Her younger brother, Minus, is bewildered by Karin's vulnerability and his own developing sexuality.
