The Wraith
In order to "win" their vehicles, Packard Walsh and the other members of his motorized gang force the residents of a desert town in Arizona to compete in illegal drag races, which they then control and use as a means of terror. Jake Kesey is born as a result of some unexplained force when the good-natured adolescent Jamie Hankins is beaten to death by Walsh as a result of finding him with his girlfriend. Jake Kesey is a very cool motorbiker who drives an unstoppable automobile. Jake strikes up a friendship with Jamie's girlfriend, Keri Johnson, and takes Jamie's sweet brother Bill under his wing. He also accomplishes what Sheriff Loomis was unable to do: he eliminates Packard's criminal gang the hard way.
