Frank Galvin is a down-on-his-luck lawyer who has been reduced to drinking and ambulance chasing due to his circumstances. Mickey Morrissey, a former associate, reminds him of his responsibilities in a medical malpractice matter that he himself presented to Galvin on a silver platter, with all parties eager to settle out of court if they so choose.
