The Super
Looli Kritski is a heartless landlord who has been so bad at keeping up his ghetto apartment that the judge is going to send him to prison. Joe Pesci plays him. The judge gives him another choice, which he accepts: He has to live in his rat-infested hell hole until he makes it liveable again. The judge gives him 120 days. During this time, Louie meets many of his tenants, including drug dealer Marlon, who lives in the house (Ruben Blades). It takes a long time for Louie to get to know the people he lives with and to see the consequences of his own greed. It turns out that Louie's father, Big Lou Kritski (Vincent Gardenia), owns the land, and he doesn't want to spend money to clean it up for his son.
