Posy Pinkerton has to emerge from her cocoon. For this serial monogamist in his late twenties, life has been a breeze. She has Tom, her doctor fiancé, a budding job as a medical illustrator, and a side pastime as an artist. But following an accidental encounter with Jack, a gorgeous and cosmopolitan businessman, Posy's exterior begins to shatter. She finds him enigmatic, and he finds her endearing; for Posy, this is an opportunity to try on confidence. Posy is hesitant to go beyond petty flirting, but her cousin Laura, her polar opposite, urges her to have one final fling before settling down with Tom, her one true love. Posy's rising yearning for independence enables her to express her inner self through the Queen of Sin, an alter ego she has constructed. Posy is unaware that she is making a deal with the devil as she is swept off her feet by Jack.
