Following the death of her father, a troubled lady comes home to confront the family who has suffered as a result of her defiance of the law. Kira Flynn grew up in a picturesque New Jersey location. One fatal night changed everything, including the innocence of children, the loyalty of fathers, and the future of a family, which she had envisioned as a young girl with a promising future ahead of her. Kira's father passes away fifteen years after the events of the novel. She comes home to her mother, Sheila, and brother, Lucas, to assist in the burial of her father while she investigates her family's history.
