In this documentary, we take a look back at the early years of Pixar Animation Studios, starting with the success of "Toy Story" and the promotion of talented people, and continuing with the construction of its East Bay campus, the company's relationship with Disney, and its remarkable initial string of eight hit films. Contributions made by John Lasseter, Ed Catmull, and Steve Jobs are highlighted in this documentary. As three-dimensional animation becomes more popular, the decrease of two-dimensional animation is documented. Hard labor and imagination appear to coexist on the same screen in roughly equal amounts.
