David Locke, an American reporter who has seen a lot of the world, is sent to cover a war in northern Africa, but he doesn't get very far with the story. When he finds the dead body of a stranger who looks like him, Locke takes on the identity of the dead man. But he soon learns that the man was a dealer in weapons, which put Locke in dangerous situations. Locke tries to get away from the police and criminals who are after him with the help of a beautiful woman.
