When a screenwriter (Brooks) loses his edge, he seeks assistance from anyone and everyone... even the mythical "Zeus's Daughter" (Stone). And he's eager to pay whatever price it takes to appease this goddess, albeit unwillingly, especially when her advice gets him back on track with a sure-fire script. However, her assistance does not end there; she also convinces the writer's wife (MacDowell) to start her own bakery, much to the disgust of Brooks, who has already made numerous personal sacrifices for his own assistance.
