The Mouth of the Wolf

This genre-bending Italian documentary-drama is directed by Pietro Marcello and follows mustachioed ex-con Enzo as he returns to Genoa after doing time and discovers that the city he once loved has altered almost beyond recognition. He searches the seaside town for clues to his history, but finds comfort in the arms of Mary, his faithful lover and a transsexual who personifies the strange fascination of Genoa itself. The film stars Mary Monaco and Vincenzo Motta.
