A cemetery outside of Rome yields the discovery of an old urn. Once it is opened, it sets off a chain reaction of violent episodes, including a sharp rise in the number of robberies, rapes, and murders, while at the same time a number of young women with sinister appearances who appear to be traveling from all over the world to converge on the city. All of these occurrences are due to the reappearance of Mater Lacrimarum, the most powerful witch of the three that have been responsible for spreading fear and death over the course of several centuries. Sarah Mandy, a student at an art school who possesses what appear to be her own supernatural skills, is the only one who can stop the Mother of Tears from destroying Rome. She is fighting alone against an army of psychos and demons who are trying to stop her.
