The Long Shot
As a young mother, Annie Garret and her reckless husband Ross move from Colorado to northern California with their seven-year-old daughter Taylor. Ross abandons them after he fails to find work. After being laid off from her previous job at a stud farm run by the strict Mary Lou O'Brien, who is hiding some personal demons of her own, Annie finds work as a ranch hand and stable person at a stud farm owned by the wealthy Taylor and Annie. She decides to find an escape by putting her horse in a high stakes riding competition, despite her own personal hardships Despite her tribulations, Annie must put the impossible to the test when her horse becomes blind from a race ailment.
