The Last of Robin Hood
Errol Flynn, the swashbuckling Hollywood star and notorious ladies man, defied convention throughout his life, but never more brazenly than in his final years, when, drunk on vodka and unwilling to confront his mortality, he engaged in an affair with Beverly Aadland, an aspiring actress. The two enjoyed an extravagant affair that spanned the globe and was made possible by the girl's fame-obsessed mother, Florence. It all came to a halt in October1959, when circumstances forced the relationship into the open, resulting in an avalanche of publicity condemning Beverly and her mother –which only fueled Florence's desire to remain in the spotlight.
