A precocious young man, Joe Toy is becoming increasingly irritated with his single father Frank's attempts to keep him in line as he approaches puberty. He runs to a clearing in the woods with Patrick, his best buddy, and a weird child named Biaggio, declaring his freedom once and for all. He says they're going to start a new life there, free of responsibilities and parental guidance. Upon completion of their impromptu dwelling, the three young guys find themselves in charge of their own destiny, stranded in the woods.
