Before the T.I.C. and the Clappers crews were founded, the members of the Yardie crew worked for Beverly, a vicious Yardie boss. Jay, one of the boys, has plans to go out on his own and start a business. The man has no money, and his automobile is constantly being hauled away. Every effort he makes to obtain money and free himself out of the shackles of ordinary life is in vain. He is motivated by his high-flying girlfriend, Selene, and begins building the groundwork for his own organized crime ring in the process. Things appear to be going smoothly until he gets jailed and Beverley finds his hidden ambition. An unlucky robbery, following a term in prison and a trip to Jamaica, causes the gang to fall apart. Each and every one of their movements is being monitored by an undercover police officer known only by the alias "Gunz," who has been dispatched by the Metropolitan Police to become acquainted with the gang. As a sequel to "THE INTENT," which was a critical and commercial success at the time, "THE COME UP" promises to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor in becoming an immediate cult classic, but this time on a global scale.
