The Immortal
The lifeless body of Ciro is currently being consumed by the murky waters of the Gulf of Naples. And as it digs deeper and deeper, memories arise. The sounds that were previously muted by the water are now mixed together with the screams of individuals who are running away. The year is 1980, the ground is shaking, and the palace is crumbling, but despite the destruction, you can make out the cries of a newborn infant who is still alive under the debris. On the streets of Naples ten years later, we find a newborn baby trying to make it on its own as best it can. This child is nobody's kid. Memories as clear as day of the illicit upbringing that shaped him into the man he is today: Ciro Di Marzio, the Immortal. The television show "Gomorra" has a prequel.
