Former assassin Jim Terrier is back, suffering from PTSD and digging wells to atone for his violent past, eight years after fleeing the Congo following his assassination of the country's mining minister. Terrier travels to London after an assassination attempt on his life to discover out who wants him dead and why. Terrier's search brings him to Annie, a lady he used to adore who is now married to an oily tycoon with ties to Africa.
