A well-known actor and his equally well-known actress wife have been married for less than a year, but already there are signs of strain in their marriage. The actor thinks his wife can be in love, and he wants to show that this is true. The actor disguises himself as the kind of man he thinks his wife likes (a Russian military officer). He woos his wife while she thinks he's out of town, so she doesn't notice him. When the "Russian" asks the actress out, the actress looks like she's going to say yes, but her husband can't be sure. The truth eventually comes out...or does it?
