Clark Kellogg is a young man in his first year of film school in New York City. After a small-time thief steals all of Clark's belongings, he meets Carmine "Jimmy the Toucan" Sabatini, a "importer" who bears an uncanny resemblance to a certain cinematic godfather. When Sabatini makes Clark an impossible offer, he becomes entangled in a heist involving endangered species and fine dining.
