The Christmas Pageant
Unable to get work on Broadway, Vera Parks is forced to manage a small town Christmas pageant in upstate New York. Vera is stunned by the production's simplicity and is persuaded by other people to give their community a try. Vera is taken aback by the small town's friendliness and charm, and she even enjoys the experience of organizing the pageant. Vera is furious when she learns that her ex-fiancé Jack recommended her for the position. However, as Vera develops closer to both Jack and his small daughter, she appreciates the gesture.
