In her first visit to Louisiana following her terrible break-up with Foster Burke, Jolie (Burton) Because their parents run the town's annual Christmas Market together, Jolie cannot handle the prospect of returning home alone and seeing them together. Jolie's best friend Naomi (Ackles) proposes she bring her slacker brother Jack (Buckley) home for Christmas. In order to avoid unpleasant situations with Jolie's ex and to help sell Jack's impending novel, Naomi, a lawyer, drafts a Christmas contract. Unbeknownst to them, the Christmas contract turns out to be so much more.
