Jane tells to the group over breakfast that she and Ralph will be married the following Monday. Nothing more than a simple wedding with their closest family and no reception is what Jane and Ralph desire.. For the reason that Jane's parents are impoverished, the couple will be able to borrow a car for their honeymoon, which they will appreciate. The following night, however, during dinner, all Ralph's parents can speak about is the lavish weddings they gave their daughters, and the situation becomes even more explosive. All of a sudden, there is a large wedding breakfast with hundreds of people in attendance. The problem is that Tom has been saving money for 12 years in order to get his own taxi and license, but now that he has the ability to do so, all of his money is being used to pay for a wedding that neither he, Jane, or Ralph are very interested in attending.
