In 1944, the Nazis forced a group of slaves to help build their coastal defenses. When the Allies land at Normandy on D-Day, the slaves are stuck in an underground bunker. They find a lot of food but not enough light. As the light slowly went out, so did their growing boredom, sickness, and jealousy while they were trapped. Based on Jean Paul Clebert's novel "Le Blockhaus."
