The Accidental Witness
Brunel Global Securities' Victor Sandeman is a senior partner. He is facing serious financial difficulties, which will be alleviated if the company's planned $100 million merger goes through. Raymond Brunel, the company's owner, is opposed to the merger. Victor murders Raymond (faking a death by natural circumstances) to force the planned merger through. Christine Sternwald, a probable witness, is the only flaw in the case. Christine, a paralegal and aspiring lawyer, is just getting her life back on track after a sexual attack three years ago. When Victor and Christine encounter shortly after the murder in a vehicle accident, Victor is obliged to identify himself as Raymond Brunel.
