A young woman moves into a new apartment she inherited from her grandmother, who died in an unusual accident there. She is immediately confronted by strange neighbors, and rats and flies engulf her apartment, implying that someone is out to get her. But, with such a slew of oddballs surrounding her, who could it be? Everyone warns her to avoid her upstairs neighbor, but he is the only one who is kind to her. The neighbor below her is supposedly an 80-year-old woman, but when the young woman moves furniture, she hammers the floor so hard that it breaks tiles. Another neighbor appears to be friendly at first, but later appears to be interfering and threatening. Her weatherman boyfriend cannot be ruled out either. She moved into their apartment, despite his desire for her to do so.
