Spring Eddy
Eddy, a small-time Chicago criminal with a passion for ingenious concoctions, is on the run from the authorities. In the aftermath of ripping off his boss, Eddy flees to Mexico, but he is detoured by a beautiful hitchhiker along the road. An innocent tryst ends with Eddy beaten, broken down, and impoverished in the town of Wynot in the state of Texas. Willet Nash, the county's all-powerful Sheriff, is accused of murder, and Eddy attempts to flee the scene. However, his foolhardy scheme backfires and he is apprehended by Nash himself while trying to flee the scene. Eddy's sole hope of making it out of jail alive is his fiancée Jeannie, whom he dumped at the altar back in Chicago before going to prison.
