Sunny is the lead singer of a band that is attempting to establish themselves in the East Berlin music scene. They perform on a regular basis in small towns, but Sunny is disconnected from both the audience and the rest of her existence. A relationship with the amateur saxophonist and studied philosopher Ralph begins, during which he writes her a very personal song - but she is not interested in his fixation with death and unfaithful lifestyle. When she gets into an altercation with a band member who is harassing her and tells off a show presenter, she is kicked out of the group. She is a woman who has been abandoned and is attempting to regain control over her life.
