Every afternoon, Noel, a young Dominican woman, goes to the beach at Las Terrenas to enjoy the sun and sea. The two of them look for ways to make money at the expense of one of the hundreds of tourists who come to see them. She also has a regular customer who is a very old French woman who lives on the island with her family and spends her last years there. Anne, like many Europeans, has found a beautiful place to spend her last years. For Noel, the relationship is one of convenience, but as they plan to leave together for Paris, the feelings become stronger.
