Polycarp
Anna, a young slave girl, is rescued and adopted by Christians in 2nd-century Smyrna, and befriended by Polycarp, their elderly bishop. Anna tries to reconcile her views with those of the Christians as she is taught by Polycarp and her new family. When the Roman proconsul orders that all people worship Caesar in order to demonstrate their allegiance to Rome, Polycarp and the Christians must summon the fortitude to defend their religion in the face of rising persecution. Anna is forced to face the truth and make a decision about who she is ready to live for and die for.
