Painted Skin
Painting Skin is an adaptation of Pu Songling's short story, "Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio," which appeared in the book. Xiao Wei, the beautiful and eternally young female fox spirit, is played by Zhou Xun, who eats the hearts of humans to keep her youthful beauty. Trouble begins when the demon falls in love with General Wang Sheng (Chen Kun), who "rescues" her from a band of robbers and brings her home.
