The Straw Hats pay a visit to a recreational island that is run by Baron Omatsuri, a former captain of a pirate gang that was all slaughtered many years before they were discovered. As a result of being the sole survivor, he developed a dislike for all close-knit pirate gangs and a desire to break them apart. He and his henchmen sow discord among the Straw Hats and capture them one by one, leaving just Luffy and his crew to escape themselves from the Baron's clutches.
