Cassie is lonely and depressed, and she works in a bar. When she told him she was pregnant, her boyfriend dumped her. She'd given up her baby for adoption after several failed suicide attempts, and she now regrets it. She meets Riley, a stage technician, when an L.A. theater troupe visits the small town of Buckeye. He begins to woo her discreetly... she likes him a lot, but she still has feelings for her ex-boyfriend Billy.
