In order to offer Hannah a fresh start, her parents took her to a new school. However, Hannah, an 11-year-old autistic girl, is unable to talk because of her condition. Hannah had a twin sister named Angel, but her cruel parents forbade her from mourning and chastised her if she sought solace from her sister's possessions. Because of this, Hannah has become isolated and depressed, and she thinks that her parents will kill her soon. A knife keeps appearing beneath her pillow, and a voice she believes is within her brain won't leave, but Hannah begins to realize that maybe she has an ally not of this world, but terror paralyzes her. The abuse she has endured may have been inflicted on her by a person from another realm. What will it take for Hannah to be brave enough to admit this new person into her life?
